MFOG — MiniFreeOnlineGames

For parents

A plain-language summary of how MFOG decides what's safe, what we collect, and where the lines are.

What we put in front of your kid

Every video is hand-picked from a curated list of 30+ trusted channels (PBS Kids, Ms Rachel, Nat Geo Kids, Khan Academy Kids, Sesame Street, and similar). Each one is screened against four checks: age window, pace (calm / active / high-energy), educational topic alignment, and a final "would we let our own child watch this" pass.

Games are pulled from established HTML5 publishers, then put through an automated content-policy filter (gambling-adjacent UX, in-app purchases, weapon iconography, brand-confusion imagery) plus a manual review queue for anything borderline.

What we collect about your kid

Nothing if your kid is just playing. No account is needed to play a game or watch a video. We do not run behavioural advertising aimed at children, and we never identify visitors as minors.

If you (the parent) create an account or sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address to send you weekly digests and remember your favourites. Magic-link sign-in — no passwords. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Ads on this site

MFOG runs Google AdSense on most pages to keep the lights on. Ads are kept off the inside of game and video players (no autoplay video ads, no in-stream interruptions during a game). Cookies for ad measurement can be declined via the consent banner; the site still works the same.

Research we lean on

  • American Academy of Pediatrics — Media and Children Communication Toolkit (age-band guidance, co-viewing).
  • World Health Organization — Guidelines on physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and sleep for children under 5.
  • Harvard Center on the Developing Child — serve-and-return interaction principles.
  • Strouse et al. 2013, Mendelsohn et al. 2010 — co-viewing outcomes.

What we won't do

  • Run a tracker on a child profile or build behavioural advertising audiences from kid traffic.
  • Allow user-submitted videos / games (only the editorial team adds content).
  • Promote a "social" feature that lets kids talk to strangers (comments are parent-only, login-gated, and reviewed before publishing).
