Nine Men's Morris
About Nine Men's Morris
Nine Men's Morris is a classic strategy board game that has been played for thousands of years across different cultures. Also known as Mill, this two-player game combines simple rules with deep strategic thinking, making it perfect for players of all ages who enjoy tactical challenges.
The game takes place on a board with three nested squares connected by lines. Players take turns placing their pieces on the board's 24 points, trying to form "mills" - three pieces in a row along any line. When you complete a mill, you get to remove one of your opponent's pieces from the board. The challenge comes from blocking your opponent while setting up your own winning combinations.
Once all pieces are placed, the game shifts to a moving phase where you slide pieces along the lines to new positions. You'll need to think several moves ahead, anticipate your opponent's strategy, and create multiple threats at once. The game ends when one player is reduced to just two pieces or cannot make a legal move. Nine Men's Morris rewards patience, careful planning, and the ability to see patterns on the board, making every match a satisfying mental workout.
